Svetlana Loginova - Russian language class
After graduation of Tashkent Medical School pursued career in research and education. She was instructor at Child Development and Child Health working with students for more than 20 years. Svetlana made a career change after arrival to US. Since 2005 she started to utilize her vast educational experience as a college assistant professor in Russian instruction with private students. In her classes she is focused on creating patterns of proper vocabulary, Russian syntaxes and grammar. She expands students’ vocabulary and proper language patterns by utilizing the best examples of Russian literature. Svetelana is planning to enrich her Russian instruction with creative games, puzzles, crossword, short plays from the literature.
Ilana Medvedovskaya – Director of Jewish studies Program
Graduated Michlala Jerusalem College for Women and Hebrew University School of Social work. Ilana combines work at the field of Jewish education with successful private practice as the psychotherapist. She worked as the Jewish educator in a variety of settings including Joint and Jewish Agency. She has taught Hebrew and Jewish subject at Jewish Day Schools and Sunday Schools.
Vladimir Foygelman – Choreography
Graduated with Master degree at Kiev State University of Arts and institute of Jewish education and leadership "Melitz" in Israel. Launched and developed the first in Soviet Union Jewish children's dance group “Yomtev”/"Holiday". Organized and launched Jewish programs, seminars, organizations and movements in Ukraine. In 1995 Vladimir opened Sunday Jewish Art school in Kiev, as a part of Israeli Informational Center at the Embassy of Israel to Ukraine . In 2005 launched Center “Makor" in Boston, Massachusetts.
Valeriya Kozlovskaya – Archaeology for Kids, Ancient Civilizations, Latin/Greek, German
Valeriya Kozlovskaya has an MA in Foreign Languages and Education from the Pedagogical State University in St. Petersburg (Russia) and a PhD in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology from Bryn Mawr College (USA). She is a professional archaeologist with many years of excavation experience in Greece, Turkey, and Russia. She has taught courses in mythology, ancient civilizations, and archaeology at university level in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Ms. Kozlovskaya is a Director of the Ancient Studies Program at the Russian Center for Languages and Arts (RCLA).
Mila Podilskya – Cooking club
Mila has a Bachelor degree in Food Industry Operation from Kiev Technological Institute (Ukraine). She has years of experience in Food Industry Management in former Soviet Union and in USA. She managed and operated her own Russian food chain in America. Mila is an excellent cook who integrates the best of multi-cultural cuisines with the kosher standards.
Alina Merzdov – Hebrew, Jewish cultural traditions
Alina Merzdov graduated from NYU with the Bachelor's Degree in teaching Hebrew as a foreign language. While working on her degree, Alina took a number of Hebrew language courses at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ms. Merzdov received her Master's degree in Education and Special Education from Touro College, New-York. She is MA certified educator in the Hebrew language and Special Education who has worked in a variety of public and private school settings in New York City and Boston. Alina knows how to give informative and engaging lessons as well as offer a great range of activities in the classroom, depending on individual learning styles of the students.
Lilya Shamrakova – Arts and Crafts
Lilya Shamrakova is a native of Moscow, Russia. She studied art and literature at Moscow State University and Brandeis University. Ms.Shamrakova worked as a teacher at Brandeis University and as a graphic artist at Bitstream, Inc. She writes children’s books of poetry. As an educator, she is interested in the creative spirit of children and puts effort to give all of her students the opportunity to achieve self-confidence through self-expression.

Polina Dorosinskaya is currently working on her Bachelor Degree in Fine
Arts at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, after studying at the State
Academy of Fine Arts, Azerbaijan, for 2 years. She is a professional painter with 2 years of teaching experience in Azerbaijan and USA. She has taught private art lessons, and also Art & Crafts classes for children at the Jewish Agency for Israel in Baku, Azerbaijan, and at the Sunday School of Russian-Jewish Cultural and Educational Center “Makor”.
